From March to July 2024 The Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam hosted a restrospective exhibition on the performance artist and world celeb Marina Abramovic.

 

 

 

The performances had been preceeded by an intense and all encompassing preparation lead by the Marina Abramovic Institute with the purpose to train the performers mentally and physically to the deep states that these performances required. Cleaning the House is a method and workshop that the performance artist created and refined for herself and for anyone who is willing to challenge oneself limits.

The collection included re-performances of some of her most renewed and groundbreaking works like Imponderabilia (1977) and Luminosity (1997).

Along the course of four months each performer re-enacted both Imponderabilia and Luminosity several times per week, allowing each visitor to get a close experience to what it feels to witness some of Marina Abramovic most known pieces.
